Planning a round-the-world trip on your own means comparing dozens of flight combinations, checking the seasons country by country and booking services across as many time zones. We take that on: one contact, one written itinerary, one quote.
The first question to settle: a round-the-world ticket or separate flights? The airline alliance ticket locks in a direction of travel, a number of segments and dates fixed early on. It still holds up on heavily segmented itineraries; beyond that, a combination of separate flights often costs less and stays changeable en route. We price both before deciding.
The rest of the work is the order of the stops, the time spent in each country and the rest days. Getting that order right is what lets you cross the seasons in the right direction. The most common cause of a disappointing trip is an itinerary packed too full.
